So today I met with the Business Gateway folks; again, no-one laughed in my face after I explained my idea. WHY AREN'T PEOPLE LAUGHING AT US?!
Anyhoo, we've been enrolled on a start-up workshop on the 8th of September (recorded here for posterity!), and we should be receiving details soon about receiving a grant for market research, as well as a complete list of the details of our potential competitors in the whisky market of Aberdeen.
We're also looking into some sort of whisky tasting qualification; it's all very good saying we know what we're talking about, it's quite another having a piece of paper that declares it to all the world with reckless abandon. Apparently.
The blundering attempts of two idiots, trying to fill a hole in the market that may not even exist.

Day 1: Investigations
Today was spent being baffled by how forthcoming the good people of Aberdeen have been. Managed to get an interview for business startups arranged (eek!); got a price list from MacBeans for coffee wholesale (surprisingly cheap); and visited the famous Dyce Costcutter (which really wasn't what we're expecting).

Online!
Hopefully we'll get some content up soon. Make the place seem homier. (That's a word, right?)
